[Dr. Ramakrishnan](/people/aravindabharathi-ramakrishnan "Aravindabharathi Ramakrishnan, PhD") was awarded a 2023 [Cancer Research Institute (CRI) Research Fellowship](https://www.cancerresearch.org/cri-funded-scientists/aravindabharathi-ramakrishnan-phd). The three-year grant will support Dr. Ramakrishnan’s research on the mechanism by which integrin ⍺Vβ8 converts the TGF- β1 molecule from its active to its inactive form.
